530 ÆäÀÌÁö - The general assembly shall pass laws to correct abuses and prevent unjust discrimination and extortion in the rates of freight and passenger tariffs on the different railroads in this state, and enforce such laws by adequate penalties, to the extent, if necessary for that purpose, of forfeiture of their property and franchises.
502 ÆäÀÌÁö - SECTION 1. The legislative authority of this State shall be vested in a General Assembly, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives...
514 ÆäÀÌÁö - Rights of property, like all other social and conventional rights, are subject to such reasonable limitations in their enjoyment as shall prevent them from being injurious, and to such reasonable restraints and regulations established by law as the legislature, under the governing and controlling power vested in them by the constitution may think necessary and expedient.
500 ÆäÀÌÁö - And the General Assembly shall, from time to time, pass laws establishing reasonable maximum rates of charges for the transportation of passengers and freight on the different railroads in this State.

502 ÆäÀÌÁö - The powers of the government of the State of Alabama shall be divided into three distinct departments; and each of them confided to a separate body of magistracy to wit, those which are legislative, to one; those which are executive to another, and those which are judicial to another.
533 ÆäÀÌÁö - The objects for which a corporation is created are universally such as the government wishes to promote. They are deemed beneficial to the country ; and this benefit constitutes the consideration, and, in most cases, the sole consideration, of the grant.
503 ÆäÀÌÁö - The continued existence of a government would be of no great value if, by implications and presumptions, it was disarmed of the powers necessary to accomplish the ends of its creation, and the functions it was designed to perform, transferred to the hands of privileged corporations.
481 ÆäÀÌÁö - ... communication, or which have the terminus, station, or wharf of the one near the terminus, station, or wharf of the other, shall afford all due and reasonable facilities for receiving and forwarding all the traffic arriving by one of such railways or canals...
