*Matelea? lævis. Nuttall in Silliman's Journal, vol. v. p. 291, and proves, on cultivation, to be an Asclepias with the seeds destitute of a coma.

HAB. In India, and introduced from the Cape of Good Hope by the late Mr May. The flowers greenish and brown with the border singularly connivent at the sumprit.
