Gilles Deleuze was Professor of Philosophy at the Universite de Paris VIII, Vincennes-St. Denis, until his retirement in 1987. His books include Nietzsche and Philosophy, Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia, and Difference and Repetition.Constantin V. Boundas is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Trent University in Ontario. He has translated Deleuze's Empiricism and Subjectivityand edited The Deleuze Reader, both for Columbia University Press.
