Ver. 1 AND it came to pass, when Jabin King of Hazor
11 had heard those Things, that he sent to Jobab King of Madon, and to the King of Shimron, and to the King of Achshaph,
2 And to the Kings that were on the North of the Mountains, and of the Plains, South of Cinneroth, and in the Valley, and in the Borders of Dor, on the West;
3 And to the Canaanite on the East, and on the West, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the Mountains, and to the Hivites under Hermon, in the Land of Mizpeh.
4 And they went out, they and all their Hosts with them, much People, even as the Sand that is upon the Sea-shore in multitude, with Horses and Chariots very many.
5 And when all these Kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the Waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
6 And the Lord said unto Joshua, BE NOT AFRAID because of them: for To-morrow about this time will I deliver them up all sain before Israel : thou shalt hough their Horses, and burn their Chariots with Fire.
7 So Joshua came, and all the People of War with him, against them by the Waters of Merom suddenly, and they fell upon them.
8 And the Lord delivered them into the Hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the Valley of Mizpeh Eastward, and they smote them, until they left thein none romaining:
9 And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him : he houghed their Horses, and burnt their Chariots with Fire.
10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the King thereof with the Sword : for Hazor beforetime was the Head of all those Kingdoms.
1 And they smote all the Souls that were therein with the Edge of the Sword, utterly destroying them : there was not any left to breathe ; and he burnt Hazor with Fire.
12 And all the Cities of those Kings, and all the Kings of them did Joshua take, and smote them with the Edge of the Sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the Servant of the Lord commanded.

15 As the LORD commanded Moses his Servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua : he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.
16 So Joshua took all that Land, the Hills, and all the South-country, and all the Land of Goshen, and the Valley, and the Plain, and the Mountain of Israel, and the

18 Joshua made War a long time with all those Kings.
19 There was not a City that made Peace with the Children of Israel, save the Hivites the Inhabitants of Gibeon ; all others they took in Battle.
20 For it was of the LORD to harden their Hearts, that they should come against Israel in Battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no Favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
21 And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the Mountains of Judah, and from the Mountains of Israel : Joshua destroyed them utterly with their Cities.
22 There was none of the Anakims left in the Land of the Children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.
23 So Joshua took the whole Land, according to all that the Lord said unto Mofes, and Joshua gave it for an Inheritance unto Ifrael, according to their Divisions by their Tribes. And the Land rested from War.

A LORD had given Rest unto Israel from all their Enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in Age.

3. And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these Nations, because of you; for the LORD your God is he that fought for you:
4 Behold, I have divided unto you by Lot these Nations that remain, to be an Inheritance for your Tribes from Jor. dan, with all the Nations that I have cut off, even unto the great Sea West-ward.
5 And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your fight, and ye shall pofless their Land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.
6 Be ye therefore very couragious to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom, to the Right Hand or to the Left,
7 That ye come not among these Nations, these that remain amongst you, neither make mention of the Name of their Gods, nor cause tơ swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them :
8 But CLEAVE unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this Day.
9 For the Lord hath driven out from before you, great Nations and strong: but as for you, no Man hath been able to stand before you unto this Day.
10 * One Man of you shall chase a thousand : for the LORD your God, he it is that FIGHTETH for you, as he hath promised you.
1 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye Love the LORD your God.
12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the Remnant of these Nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make Marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you: + This was fulfilled in the time of the Judges.
13 Know for a certainty, that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these Nations from before you ; but they shall be Snares and Traps unto you, and Scourges in your Sides, and Thorns in your Eyes, until ye perish from off this good Land which the LORD your God hath given you.
14 And behold, this Day I am going the Way of ALL the EARTH, and ye know in all your Hearts, and in all your Souls, that not one Thing hath FAILED of all the good Things which the LORD your God spake concerning you ; ALL are COME TO PASS unto you, and not one Thing hath failed thereof.
15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good Things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you : so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil Things, until he hath destroyed you from off this good Land, which the LORD your God hath given you.
16 When ye have transgressed the Covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other Gods, and bowed yourselves to them : then shall the Anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good Land which he hath given unto you.
