36 But the LORD who brought you up out of the Land of Egypt, with great Power, and a ftretched-out Arm, him fhall ye fear, and him thall ye worship, and to him fhall ye do Sacrifice.

37 And the Statutes, and the Ordinances, and the Law, and the Commandment which he wrote for you, ye fhall obferve to do for evermore, and ye fhall not fear other Gods. 38 And the Covenant that I have made with you, ye fhall not forget, neither shall ye fear other Gods.

39 But the LORD your GOD ye fhall fear, and he fhall deliver you out of the Hand of all your Enemies.

Ver. 1LTEZEKIAH the Son of Ahaz began to reign when he was five and twenty Years old, and he reigned nine and twenty Years in Jerufalem.

2 And he did that which was right in the fight of the LORD, according to all that David his Father had done.

2 KINGS XVIII.

4 And he removed the high Places, and brake the Images, and cut down the Groves, and brake in pieces the brazen Serpent that Mofes had made: for unto thofe Days the Children of Ifrael did burn Incenfe to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

5

He trufted in the LORD GOD of Ifrael, fo that after him was none like him among all the Kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

6 For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his Commandments, which the LORD commanded Mofes.

7 And the LORD was with him, and he profpered whitherfoever he went forth and he rebelled against the King of Affyria, and ferved him not.

2 CHRON. XXIX.

3 He, in the first Year of his Reign, in the first Month, opened the Doors of the House of the LORD, and repaired them.

4 And he brought in the Priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the East-street.

5 And faid unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, fanctify now yourselves, and fanctify the House of the LORD GOD of your Fathers, and carry forth the Filthinefs out of the holy Place.

6 For our Fathers have trefpaffed, and done that which is evil in the Eyes of the LORD our GOD, and have forfaken him, and have turned away their Faces from the Habitation of the LORD, and turned their Backs.

7 Also they have fhut up the Doors of the Porch, and put out the Lamps, and have not burnt Incenfe, nor offered Burnt-offerings in the holy Place, unto the God of Ifrael.

8 Wherefore the Wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerufalem, and he hath delivered them to Trouble, to Aftonifhment, and to Hiffing, as ye fee with your Eyes.

9 For lo, our Fathers have fallen by the Sword, and our Sons and our Daughters, and our Wives are in Captivity for this.

10 Now it is in mine Heart to make a Covenant with the LORD GOD of Ifrael, that his fierce Wrath may turn away from us.

11 My Sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath

chofen you to ftand before him, to ferve him, that you fhould minifter unto him, and burn Incense.

12 Then the Levites arofe: of the Sons of the Kohathites; and of the Sons of Merari; and of the Gershonites; 13 And of the Sons of Elizaphan; and of the Sons of Afaph;

14 And of the Sons of Heman; and of the Sons of Je

duthun.

15 And they gathered their Brethren, and fanctified themfelves, and came according to the Commandment of the King, by the Words of the LORD, to cleanfe the House of the LORD.

16 And the Priests went into the inner Part of the House of the LORD to cleanfe it, and brought out all the Uncleannefs that they found in the Temple of the LORD, into the Court of the Houfe of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad unto the Brook Kidron.

17 Now they began on the first Day of the first Month to fanctify, and on the eighth Day of the Month came they to the Porch of the LORD: fo they fanctified the House of the LORD in eight Days, and in the fixteenth Day of the first Month they made an end.

18 Then they went in to Hezekiah the King, and faid, We have cleanfed all the Houfe of the LORD, and the Altar of Burnt-offering, with all the Veffels thereof.

19 Moreover, all the Veffels which King Ahaz in his Reign did caft away in his Tranfgreflion, have we prepared and fanctified, and behold, they are before the Altar of the LORD.

20 Then Hezekiah rofe early, and gathered the Rulers of the City, and went up to the Houfe of the LORD.

21 And they brought feven Bullocks, and feven Rams, and feven Lambs, and feven He-goats, for a Sin-offering for the Kingdom, and for the Sanctuary, and for Judah he commanded the Priefts, the Sons of Aaron, to offer them on the Altar of the LORD.

and

22 So they killed the Bullocks and the Rams, and alfo the Lambs, they fprinkled the Blood upon the Altar.

23 And they brought forth the He-goats for a Sin-offering, before the King, and the Congregation, and they laid their Hands upon them:

ciliation with their Blood upon the Altar, to make an Atonement for all Ifrael: for the King commanded that the Burnt-offering, and the Sin-offering fhould be made for all Ifrael.

25 And he fet the Levites in the Houfe of the LORD, with Cymbals, with Pfalterics, and with Harps, according to the Commandment of David, and of Gad the King's Seer, and Nathan the Prophet: for fo was the Commandment of the LORD by his Prophets.

26 And the Levites ftood with the Inftruments of David, and the Priefts with the Trumpets.

27 And Hezekiah commanded to offer the Burnt-offering upon the Altar: and when the Burnt-offering began, the Song of the LORD began alfo with the Trumpets, and with the Inftruments ordained by David King of Ifrael.

28 And all the Congregation worthipped, and the Singers fang, and the Trumpeters founded, and all this continued until the Burnt-offering was finished.

29 And when they had made an end of offering, the King and all that were prefent with him, bowed themselves and worshipped.

30 Morcover, Hezekiah and the Princes commanded the Levites to fing Praise unto the LORD, with the Words of David, and of Afaph the Seer: and they fang Praises with Gladness, and they bowed their Heads and worshipped.

31 And Hezekiah anfwered and faid, Now ye have confecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring Sacrifices, and Thank-offerings into the House of the LORD. And the Congregation brought in Sacrifices, and Thank-offerings, and as many as were of a free Heart, Burntofferings.

32 And the Number of the Burnt-offerings which the Congregation brought, was threefcore and ten Bullocks, an hundred Rams, and two hundred Lambs: all these were for a Burnt-offering to the LORD.

33 And the confecrated Things were fix hundred Oxen, and three thoufand Sheep.

34 But the Priefts were too few, fo that they could not flay all the Burnt-offerings: wherefore their Brethren the Levites did help them till the Work was ended, and until the other Priefts had fanctified themfelves: for the Levites were

were more upright in Heart, to fanctify themfelves, than the Priests.

35 And alfo the Burnt-offerings were in abundance; fo the Service of the Houfe of the LORD was fet in order.

1 Hezekiah proclaimeth a folemn Paflover on the fecond Month for Judah and Ifrael. 13 The Aembly having destroyed the Altars of Idolatry, keep the Feast fourteen Days. 27 The Priests and Levites blefs the People.

Ver. 1 ND Hezekiah fent to all Ifrael and Judah, and wrote Letters alfo to Ephraim and Manaffch, that they fhould come to the Houfe of the LORD at Jerufalem, to keep the Paflover unto the LORD GOD of Ifrael.

2 For the King had taken Counfel, and his Princes, and all the Congregation in Jerufalem, to keep the Passover in the fecond Month.

3 For they could not keep it at that Time, because the PRIESTS had not SANCTIFIED themfelves fufficiently, neither had the People gathered themselves together to Jerufalem.

4 And the Thing pleafed the King, and all the Congregation.

5 So they cftablished a Decree, to make Proclamation throughout all Ifrael, from Beer-fheba even to Dan, that they fhould come to keep the Paffover unto the LORD GOD of Ifrael at Jerufalem: for they had not done it of a long time in fuch Sort as it was written.

6 So the Pofts went with the Letters from the King, and his Princes throughout all Ifrael and Judah, and according to the Commandment of the King, faying, Ye Children of Ifrael, turn again unto the LORD GOD of Abraham, Ifaac, and Ifrael, and he will return to the Remnant of you, that are efcaped out of the Hand of the Kings of Affyria.

7 And be not ye like your Fathers, and like your Brethren, which trefpaffed against the LORD GOD of their Fathers, who therefore gave them up to Defolation, as ye fee.
