the thirtieth day of June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, and for the financial year ending the thirtieth day of June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixtyfive, and not otherwise provided for, and to make good certain sums expended for the Public Service in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and for other purposes set forth in the Schedule to this Act.

2. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to authoin Council to rize the issue of Exchequer Bills or short-dated Debentures, to an amount not exceeding four million dollars, in lieu of the chequer Bills, Debentures already issued under the authority of existing Acts, &c., for a cer- for the purpose of meeting the amount due to the Provincial Agents in England, and remaining undisposed of in their hands; such Exchequer Bills or short-dated Debentures to bear interest at a rate not exceeding six per cent. per annum, and the principal and interest thereof to be chargeable on the Consolidated Revenue Fund, and the amount raised by the issue thereof to form part of the said Fund.

3. Accounts in detail of all moneys raised, received and be laid before paid under this Act, and of the Exchequer Bills or Debentures sold or issued under the same, and of the interest thereon, and of the redemption of the whole or any part thereof, and of all expenses attending the raising and payment of the sums to be raised, received or paid under this Act, shall be laid before both Houses of the Legislature of this Province, at each Session thereof.

The due application of all moneys expended under the Her Majesty. authority of this Act, shall be accounted for to Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors, through the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, in such manner and form as Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors shall be pleased to direct.
