the thirtieth day of June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, and for the financial year ending the thirtieth day of June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixtyfive, and not otherwise provided for, and to make good certain sums expended for the Public Service in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and for other purposes set forth in the Schedule to this Act.

The Governor 2. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to authoin Council to rize the issue of Exchequer Bills or short-dated Debentures, to authorize the issue of Ex an amount not exceeding four million dollars, in lieu of the chequer Bills, Debentures already issued under the authority of existing Acts, &is, for a cer- for the purpose of meeting the amount due to the Provincial purpose.
