His Lordship is in Holy Orders, LL.D., and Dean of Kilmore; he succeeded 11 May 1843, and m. 7 Sept. 1825, Elizabeth, youngest daughter of the late Standish Grady, Esq., of Elton, Co. Limerick, by whom, who d. in childbed, 5 March 1834, he has issue,

His Lordship is the younger son of CATHERINE, LATE BARONESS, by her marriage in 1782, with the Right-Hon. James Fitz-Gerald, who was b. in 1742, d. 20 Jan. 1835; she was the 2nd daughter of the late Rev. Henry Vesey, was b. in 1759, raised to the Peerage in 1826, and d. 3 Jan. 1832, having had issue:

1 Elizabeth, d. an infant.

2 John-Vesey, d. 1794.

3 WILLIAM, SECOND LORD, who succeeded his mother, 3 Jan. 1832, and was in 1835 created a Peer of the United Kingdom, by the title of Baron Fitz-Gerald of Desmond, and of Clan-Gibbon, Co. Cork; which Peerage became Extinct on his decease, 11 May 1843, when his brother, the present Lord, succeeded to the Irish Barony.
