Abstract of the rates at which the prize-money, accruing to the Garrifon of Gibraltar, was divided, arifing from the Head-money granted by Parliament, for deftroying the Battering Ships, and the fale of the St Michael man of war. The fubfequent fums are proportions of 30,000l. which was the fum first divided. A fecond Act of Parliament afterwards paffed, for granting to the Garrison whatever might be fished up from the wrecks of the Battering Ships; and thofe employed in this duty proceeded with fuch fuccefs, that brass and iron cannon, with other articles, were recovered to a confiderable value. Two divifions of L.16,000, and L.8000, have fince been diftributed; the latter of which, it is imagined, will be the laft. Note 320.
