on combs stated in the application. On arrival of the colonies or bees on combs, the applicant shall notify the county or state bee inspector as per Section 5 of this act, the same as if disease were known to exist. The inspector shall proceed as provided in Section 4 of this Act. The applicant after paying all costs of inspection into the fund to which they were charged, shall have his security returned to him, but not before; provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit the shipment into the state of Wyoming of comb honey in sections intended for human consumption. All bees shipped into Wyoming must be accompanied by an affidavit that any honey used for food in such cases has been subjected to a temperature of not less than 212 degrees farenheit for not less than thirty minutes.

Queen Cage Candy.

Section 10. It shall be unlawful for anyone shipping queen bees in cages within the State of Wyoming to use for queen cage candy any honey that has not been cooked under five pounds pressure in a closed steam cooker for not less than thirty minutes.

Construction of Hives.

Section 11. No bees shall be kept in any hives unless the same shall have moveable frames, so constructed that the frames shall be easily removed and the bees and hives easily and thoroughly inspected.

Disinfection of Inspector.

Section 12. Any Bee Inspector and any persons who may assist him in an inspection of infected hives, supplies, or appliances, or in handling diseased bees, shall before leaving the premises where such disease has been found and proceeding to any other apiary shall properly disinfect his own person and clothing according to methods prescribed by the State Bee Inspector; and should any such inspector or any persons who have assisted him fail to properly disinfect themselves and their clothing before proceeding to another apiary, then upon proof being made to the State Bee Inspector of such neglect, said inspector shall be dismissed from service and be forever barred from reappointment.

Report of Bee Inspectors.

Section 13. Every county bee inspector shall make an annual report to the State Bee Inspector, giving the number of apiaries visited, the number of colonies inspected, the number of diseased apiaries found and the number of colonies treated, also the number of colonies destroyed, together with the costs of inspection and such other statistics bearing on the bee industry as may be required by the State Bee Inspector. The report of the County Bee Inspector shall include the work done by the deputy county bee inspectors if there are any in the county. The reports of the county bee inspectors shall be compiled by the State Bee Inspector, and together with a report of his own work, shall be presented to the Governor of Wyoming on or before the first day of January of each year.

Certificate of Inspection.

Section 14. Any person, firm or corporation within the State of Wyoming, immediately before selling or offering for sale any colony or colonies of bees, or bees by the pound, or queen bees and their attendants, shall procure from the County Bee Inspector or State Bee Inspector if there is no county bee inspector, a certificate of inspection, and shall be required to deliver to the purchaser of such bees such certificate of inspector, or a duly certified copy thereof at the date of delivery; provided that any person,

firm or corporation selling or offering for sale any bee appliances which have been used for bees or the storing of the product of bees, without first thoroughly disinfecting the same as directed by the State or County Bee Inspector, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and each sale so made shall constitute a separate offense. It shall be unlawful for any state, county, or deputy bee inspector to issue to any person, firm or corporation owning or - operating bees, a certificate of health, knowing that any contagious disease of the bees or their brood exists or has existed in such bees during the same calendar year in which the certificate of health is issued.

Honey from Bees with Foul Brood.

Section 15. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation in the State of Wyoming to sell, trade or barter, or offer for sale, trade, or barter, any honey produced by a colony of bees known to have foul brood. Appropriation by County Commissioners.

Section 16. The County Commissioners of the several counties of the state are herewith authorized and shall appropriate funds from the general fund for bee inspection work in the several counties.

Salary of Bee Inspectors.

Section 17. Each County and Deputy County Bee Inspector shall receive for his service as inspector the sum not less than five dollars nor more than ten dollars and his necessary traveling expenses, for each day actually and necessarily employed in the discharge of his duties as prescribed in this chapter. Each County Bee Inspector or Deputy County Bee Inspector shall keep a true and just account of the time spent by him in the duties of his office, and shall present a true copy thereof, verified by oath, to the Board of County Commissioners of his county who shall audit and pay the same from the general funds of the county; provided that no more than twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) shall be paid out of the general fund of the county for such purposes in any one year.

Violation-Penalty.

Section 18. The violation of any of the provisions of this Act shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and any person convicted thereof shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).

Section 19. Chapter 230, Wyoming Compiled Statutes, 1920, and all acts and parts of Acts in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 20. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 104.

House Bill No. 267.

RELIEF OF HOMER J. BOOTH.

AN ACT making an appropriation for the relief of Homer J. Booth, for injuries sustained while acting within the scope of his authority in attempting to recapture an escaped prisoner.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of Two Thousand Dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise

appropriated, for the purpose of compensating Homer J. Booth, to the same extent he would have been compensated if he had been subject to the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Law, at the time of receiving such injuries; for the total loss of the left arm, which injury was received on July 31, 1919, while acting as jailer of Fremont County, Wyoming, he was attempting to recapture an escaped prisoner.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

House Bill No. 244.

RELIEF OF ARTHUR G. HANSON.

AN ACT making an appropriation for the relief of Arthur G. Hanson, a resident of the State of Wyoming, for injuries sustained while acting within the scope of his

duties as Predatory Animal Hunter in attempting to kill a predatory animal.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of the funds of the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of compensating Arthur G. Hanson to the same extent he would have been compensated had he been subject to the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Law at the time of receiving his injuries; said injuries including a broken back and paralysis of the lower limbs which injuries were sustained in falling over a cliff while trailing a predatory animal.

Section 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

PURCHASE OF MEDALS FOR WYOMING SOLDIERS.

AN ACT making an appropriation for the purchase of medals for Wyoming Soldiers. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of One hundred fifty dollars, or so much. thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated to purchase Medals for Wyoming Soldiers.

Section 1. The sum of Three Hundred dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the funds of the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated to pay Members of the National Guard in Federal Service.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its

passage.

House Bill No. 266.

RELIEF OF AGNES A. CARRICK.

AN ACT for the relief of Mrs. Agnes A. Carrick and Posthumous child, Madeline Carrick, for the loss of husband and father, W. F. Carrick, murdered August 15, 1911, while on duty as a guard at the Wyoming State Penitentiary.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of Three Thousand is hereby appropriated out of any fund in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to compensate Mrs. Agnes A. Carrick and her posthumous child, Madeline Carrick born September 17, 1911, for the loss of husband and father, W. F. Carrick, murdered August 15, 1911 while on duty as a guard at the Wyoming State Penitentiary by an unknown person attempting to gain entrance to the grounds of said Penitentiary.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its

passage.

RELIEF OF IDA GENEVA MCPHERRON.

AN ACT making an appropriation for the relief of Ida Geneva McPherron for the loss of her husband killed in duties as undersheriff in 1921.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of Three Thousand Dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated from any funds in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the relief of Ida Geneva McPherron for the loss of her husband, W. S. McPherren, who was killed in line of duty in 1921, as undersheriff by parties unknown.

Section 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its

passage.

House Bill No. 264.

APPROPRIATION TO PAY DEFICIT ON ACCOUNT OF SOLDIERS
EXEMPT FROM TAXATION.

AN ACT making appropriation to pay deficit accruing on account of soldiers exemption law for years 1921 and 1922; and for an appropriation to compensate various counties of Wyoming by reason of refund soldiers exemption for bi-annual period April 1st, 1923, to March 31st, 1925.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. That the sum of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars or so much thereof as may become necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds
