THE Pfalter Thall be read through

once every Month, as it is ppointed, both for Morning and Eening Prayer. But in February it all be read only to the Twenty ghth, or Twenty-ninth day of the Month.

And whereas January, March, Jay, July, August, October, and Vecember, have One-and-thirty days piece; it is ordered, that the fame falms shall be read the last day of the id Months, which were read the ay before: So that the Pfalter may egin again the first day of the next honth enfuing.

And whereas the 119 Pfalm is diided into 22 Portions, and is over ing to be read at one time; it is ordered, that at one time, shall ot be read above four or five of the

lid Portions.

And at the end of every Pfalm, and f every fuch part of the 119 Pialm, hall be repeated this Hymn,

Glory be to the Fatber, and to the on and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, nd ever shall be world without

Kote, that the Pfalter followeth the Vision of the Hebrews, and the anflation of the great English Bible, t forth and ufed in the time of King enry VIII, and Edward VI.

THE

Old Testament isappointed for the first Lessons at and Evening Prayer; so as the most part thereof will be read over every year once, as in the Calendar is appointed.

The New Testament is appointed for the fecond Leffonsat Morning and Evening Prayer, and shall be read over orderly every year thrice, befides the Epiftles and Gospels; except the Apo-: calyps, out of which there are only certain Proper Lessons appointed upon, divers Feats.

And to know what Lesson's shall be read every day, look for the day of the month in the Calendar following, and there ye shall find the Chapters that shall be read for the Leffons both at Morning and Evening Prayer; except only the Moveable Feafts, which are not in the Calendar, and the Inmoveable, where there is a blank left in the Column of Leffons; the Proper Lessons for all which days are to be found in the Table of Proper Leffons. And note, That when foever Proper Pfalms or Leffons are appointed; then the Pfalms and Lessons of ordinary course appointed in the Plalter and Calendar (if they be different) shall be omitted for that time.

Note also, That the Collect, Epistle, and Gospel appointed for the Sunday, shall serve all the Week after, where it is not in this Book other wife ordered.
