Altering the CHANCERY TERM of the Fayette Circuit

Court, in the year 1811.

on the first Monday in August, instead of the fourth.

to said January term, be returnable to the March
term of said circuit court: provided, that the said
circuit court, shall be held during the first week
of the session, by the assistant judges thereof,
so as to enable the circuit judge, to attend the
Boone circuit court, which commences its August
session, on the first Monday in said month.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the clerk, and Duty of offiother officers of said court, shall perform the same cers of court. duties at the said August term, as by law, they are

SEC. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this county courts act contained, shali be so construed, to alter or

Trustees

AN ACT

Establishing the LEBANON ACADEMY, in the County

of Christian.

APPROVED, DECEMBER 17, 1810.

E it enacted by the General Assembly,

SEC. 1.B That Fines Ewing, Ephraim M-Clean,

Samuel Moore, Young Ewing, Daniel Benham, Robert Coleman and David Barty, gentlemen, shall be, and are hereby constituted a body politic and corpoincorporated rate, to be known by the name of the trustees of the Lebanon academy: and by, that name, shall have perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to Their powers change or alter the same at pleasure: And as a body corporate, shall be authorised to exercise all the powers and privileges, that are now enjoyed by the trustees of any academy or seminary of learning, in this state. And on the death, resignation, or other disqualification of any of the trustees aforesaid, or their successors, a majority of the remaining trustees, shall fill such vacancy; and the person so appointed, shall be vested with the same power and authority, as if specially named by this act: And by the name and style of the trustees of the Lebanon Academy, may sue and implead, and be sued and impleaded, in any court in law or equity, or before any tribunal having cognizance of the same.

SEC. 2. The said trustees, and their successors, May receive shall have power in their corporate capacity, to purchase or receive by donation, any lands, tenements, hereditaments, monies, rents, goods and chattels, and to hold the same by the name aforesaid, to them and their successors forever, for the use of the said academy; and to sell, alien, or transfer, any such lands, goods and chattels, and apply the, proceeds to the benefit thereof.
