CROSS-REFERENCES Individual STAR abstracts are not ordinarily cross-referenced, except for certain conference reports or book translations that have had separate abstracts written for their component papers or chapters. When the subject content of a component differs sufficiently from the general content of the parent, a cross-reference citation also is printed at the end of the category to which it normally would have been assigned if it were independent.
