On July 1, 1874, the balance on account of appropriations for years prior to July 1, 1870, remaining to the credit of the Quartermaster's Department in the Treasury, undrawn, was by report of last year... Amount placed to the credit of appropriations during the year by deposits of funds for redistribution, and of amounts received from sales to officers of public property purchased prior to July 1, 1870.. Amount expended for other Departments and refunded by them during the year....
