I. Le tracé de la frontière de la Russie et de la Turquie en Bessarabie est et demeure déterminé conformément à la carte topographique dressée par les Commissaires délimitateurs à Kichenew, le 30 Mars, 1857; laquelle carte est annexée au présent Traité, après avoir été paraphée. II. Les Puissances Contractantes conviennent que les îles comprises entre les différents bras du Danube à son embouchure, et formant le delta de ce fleuve, ainsi que l'indique le plan joint au Protocole du 6 Janvier, 1857, au lieu d'être annexées à la Principauté de Moldavie, comme le stipulait implicitement l'Article XXI du Traité de Paris, seront replacées sous la souveraineté immédiate de la Sublime Porte, dont elles ont relevé anciennement. III. Le Traité du 30 Mars, 1856, ayant, comme les Traités, conclus antérieurement entre la Russie et la Turquie, gardé le silence sur l'Ile des Serpents, et les Hautes Parties Contractantes ayant reconnu qu'il convenait de considérer cette île comme une dépendance du Delta du Danube, sa destination reste fixée suivant les dispositions de l'Article précédent. IV. Dans l'intérêt général du commerce maritime, la Sublime Porte s'engage à entretenir sur l'Ile des Serpents un phare destiné à assurer la navigation des bâtiments se rendant dans le Danube et au port d'Odessa. La Commission Riveraine instituée par l'Article XVII du Traité du 30 Mars, 1856, dans le but d'assurer la navigabilité des embouchures du fleuve et des parties de la mer y avoisinantes, veillera à la régularité du service de ce phare. V. Le présent Traité sera ratifié, et les ratifications en seront échangées dans le délai de 4 semaines, ou plus tôt si faire se peut.
