The stowage charts indicate, in addition to the stowage for articles defined by the regulations in Parts 80, 81, 82, and this part as "explosives" and "dangerous articles," such other articles as are in some respect hazardous or offensive cargo for the purpose of assisting the ship owner in the stowage of these articles. These articles are indicated by such descriptions as "combustible liquids," "semihazardous articles" or "odorous articles." Combustible liquids are those liquids having a flash point above 80° F., and below 150° F. Semihazardous articles are those articles which have such properties that will, under some conditions, cause spontaneous heating or ignition. Other articles shown in the list have strong or offensive odors.
