Chap. 1.
AN ACT to amend chapter seven hundred and sixty of the laws

of eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, as amended, entitled
“ An act to revise the charter of the city of Watertown,” in

relation to extending the time for the payment of taxes. Became a law January 27, 1914, with the approval of the Governor. Passed,

three-fifths being present.

Accepted by the City. The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1. Section one hundred and seventy-eight of chapter : 1887, seven hundred and sixty of the laws of eighteen hundred and 178 ninety-seven, entitled “An act to revise the charter of the city of Watertown,” is hereby amended to read as follows:

§ 178. The city clerk, under the direction of the common coun- Duty of cil, shall extend and apportion said tax on the assessment-roll delivered to him as aforesaid, shall forthwith file the same in his office, and shall make a duplicate of the same with the tax so extended and apportioned, and shall certify such copy to be a correct duplicate city roll of state, county and city taxes; such roll Delivery of shall then and on or before the fifteenth day of January, or as warrant to soon thereafter as practicable, be delivered to the treasurer of the city with a warrant annexed, under the seal of the city, and signed by the mayor and city clerk commanding him to receive, levy and collect the several sums in the roll specified as assessed against the person or property therein mentioned or described, with such percentage of penalty and interest as in this act pro
