The KING's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

WHEREAS by an Act, passed in the first year of the reign of His present Majesty, intituled "An Act to continue, until the fifth day of July one thousand eight hundred and twentyfive, an Act of the fifty-seventh year of His late Majesty, for regulating the trade and commerce "to and from the Cape of Good Hope, and for regu

lating the trade of the Island of Mauritius," His Majesty is authorised, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, by any Order or Orders to be issued from time to time, to give such directions, and to make such regulations touching the trade and commerce to and from all islands, colonies, or places, and the territories and dependencies thereof, to His Majesty belonging or in His possession, in Africa, or Asia to the eastward of the Cape of Good Hope, excepting only the possessions of the East India Company, as to His Majesty in Council shall appear most expedient and salutary, any thing contained in an Act, passed in the twelfth year of the reign of His Majesty King Charles the Second, intituled "An Act for the encouraging and in"creasing of shipping and navigation;" or in an Act, passed in the seventh and eighth years of the reign of His Majesty King William the Third, intituled "An Act for preventing frauds and regu"lating abuses in the plantation trade," or any other Act or Acts of Parliament now in force relating to His Majesty's colonies and plantations, or any other Act or Acts of Parliament, law, usage, or custom to the contrary, in anywise notwith

standing; His Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, that from and after the date of this present Order, all vessels under the French flag arriving at any port or ports of the Mauritius or its dependencies from the island of Madagascar laden with cattle, shall be permitted to enter and land their cargoes, and dispose of the same in the said ports, subject to such duties as may be there payable thereon:

And the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, and the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty are to give the necessary directions herein, as to them may respectively appertain. Jas Buller.

THIS day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the Honourable House of Commons by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that The Lords, authorised by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal, signed by His Majesty, for deelaring His Royal Assent to several Acts agreed upon by both Houses, do desire the immediate attendance of the Honourable House in the House of Peers to hear the Commission read; and the Commons being come thither, the said Commission, empowering the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, and several other Lords therein named, to declare and notify the Royal Assent to the said Acts, was read accordingly, and the Royal Assent given to

An Act to carry into effect a Convention relating 'to Austrian loans.

An

An Act for granting to His Majesty rates of postage on the conveyance of letters and packets to and from Buenos Ayres, or any other port or ports on the Continent of South America.

An Act to indemnify such persons in the United Kingdom as have omitted to qualify themselves for offices and employments, and for extending the time limited for those purposes respectively, until the twenty-fifth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, to permit such persons in Great Britain as have omitted to make and file affidavits of the execution of indentures of clerks to attornies and solicitors, to make and file the same on or before the first day of Hilary Term one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, and to allow persons to make and file such affidavits, although the persons whom they serve shall have neglected to take out their annual certificates.

An Act to continue, until the first day of July one thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven, two Acts of His present Majesty, for the appointment of Commissioners for inquiring into the collection and management of the public revenue.

An Act to amend an Act of the last session of Parliament, for amending the laws for the improvement of church lands in Ireland.

An Act for altering and enlarging the powers of an Act of His late Majesty King George the Third, for the better relief and employment of the poor within the hundreds of Tunstead and Happing, in the county of Norfolk.

An Act for repairing, improving, widening, and keeping in repair the several roads within the district called the Kidwelly District of Roads," in the county of Carmarthen.

An Act for more effectually repairing the road leading from the Lord Nelson public-house, upon the road between Burnley and Colne, in the township of Marsden, in the parish of Whalley, in the

county palatine of Lancaster, to Gisburne, in the west riding of the county of York, and from thence to the road leading from Skipton to Settle, at or near Long Preston, in the said west riding of the county of York.

An Act for more effectually amending, improving, and keeping in repair the road leading from Penrith to Cockermouth, and several other roads therein mentioned, all in the county of Cumberland.

And one private Act.

Lord Chamberlain's-Office, March 23, 1824. NOTICE is hereby given, that, in consequence of St. George's Day this year being in Easter Week, the King will hold a Drawing-Room at St. James's-Palace, on Thursday the 29th of April next, at two o'clock, to celebrate His Majesty's Birth-day.
