CHAPTER 42.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of the ex

penses of the Wisconsin state tax commis

sion, and making an appropriation therefor. The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in

senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SEXTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out Appropria of any money in the state treasury not otherwise traveling and appropriated, such sum as shall be necessary to penses of comcompensate the members of the Wisconsin state extended to tax commission, provided for by chapter 310, xollicio memlaws of 1897, for actual necessary expenses incurred by them in the prosecution of their work as such commissioners, for traveling, postage, etc.; such expenses to be evidenced by sworn vouchers presented to and audited by the secretary of state; provided however that this act shall not apply to the members ex-officio of said commission; and provided further that the total amount so paid out from the state treasury, shall not exceed in the aggregate the sum of eight hundred and ninety-seven and thirty-two hundredths dollars.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in forre, from and after its passage and publication.

CHAPTER 43.

AN ACT authorizing and empowering the Wau

sau Cemetery Association to sell and convey title of certain lands.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in

senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The Wausau Cemetery Associaempowered to tion is hereby authorized and empowered to sell deed to any purchaser and convey, for a reasonable and adequate con

sideration, all that part of the southwest quarter, of the northwest quarter of section one, town twenty-eight north, of range seven east, in the county of Marathon, state of Wisconsin, lying west of the public highway known as the Wausau and south line road, to any purchaser or purchasers thereof and to make and to execute, by its president and secretary, a deed in proper form therefor, which deed shall be evidence of a good and sufficient title in fee simple in and to said premises.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force, from and after its passage and publication.

CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to pay the Sturgeon Bay Bridge Com

pany a sum of money therein named.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in

senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

CHAPTER 45.

AN ACT to provide for the paying of a bounty

for the killing of wolves, wild cats and lynx and repealing all conflicting laws.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in

senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Every person who shall kill any wolf by poison or otherwise, shall be entitled to a

son or other.

Bounty by reward of three dollars and every person who county, for killing by poi. shall kill a wild cat or lynx by poison or otherwise, and wise, shall be entitled to a reward of one dollar method of payment. to be paid by the county wherein said wolf, wild

cat or lynx was killed, on presentation to the county clerk of the town chairman's certificate provided for in section 1627 of the Wisconsin statutes of 1898. Nothing in this act shall prohibit any county from increasing said bounty or reward by a majority vote of its county board at any annual meeting provided that no county shall pay more than five dollars reward for the killing of a wolf and three dollars for the killing

sin statutes of 1898 relating to service of processes on corporations and providing for an index.
