INHERITANCE: THE BIBLE.

HE law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple: the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Moreover, by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Ps. xix. 7, 8, 11.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Ps. cxix. 105, 130.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Prov. viii. 34.

The commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Prov. vi. 23.

Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John v. 39.

The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth. Rom. i. 16.

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom. x. 17.

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1 Cor. i. 21.

The holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim. iii. 15.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. iv. 12.

Wherefore, lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which is able to save your

souls.

James i. 21.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts. 2 Pet. i. 19.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein. Rev. i. 3.

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Ps. cxii. 1.

Great peace have they which love thy law; and nothing shall offend them. Ps. cxix. 165.

As new-born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. 1 Pet. ii. 2. He that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. Prov. xiii. 13.

To this man will I look, even to him that is poor, and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Isa. lxvi. 2.
