No. 13. Rawlins Park (area, 1 acre 30,218 square feet):

Between Eighteenth and Nineteenth streets northwest and intersection of New York avenue and E street northwest. This park, which is the site of the bronze statue of General Rawlins, by A. Bailly, is inclosed with park post-and-chain fence; improved and planted with evergreen and deciduous trees and shrubs; lawn surfaces, planted chiefly on margins of walks; two large Hilton iron vases, which are annually filled with suitable summer decorative flowering plants, are placed at intersections of walks near the center of the park; two rustic fountains are located near the eastern and western entrances; asphaltum walks are laid out on direct lines of travel; gas-lamps around and through the park.

No. 14. Lincoln Park (area, 6 acres 13,591 square feet):

Between Eleventh and Thirteenth streets east and at the intersection of Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Massachusetts avenues. The bronze statue of The Emancipation, by Thomas Ball, is located in this park. These grounds are in an advanced condition of improvement, inclosed with park post-and-chain fence; gas-lamps around the park and on lines of walks through it; gravel walks on needed lines of travel in good condition; lawn surfaces, planted with choice evergreen and deciduous trees and shrubs interspersed with flower beds, &c. There are two drinking-fountains and a watchman's lodge, with public conveniences, in this park. Two ornamental fountains, spray jets, and artificial Portland stone copings and basins, are placed at northern and southern entrances of the park.

No. 15. Stanton Park (area, 3 acres 42,298 square feet):

This park, on the north front of Providence Hospital, has been recently improved in part, inclosed with park post-and-chain fence; gas-lamps around and through the park; gravel walks on direct line of travel, and lawn surfaces, planted in part with deciduous trees.

No. 17. Garfield Park (area, 23 acres 42,692 square feet):

No. 18. Rectangle (area, 35,200 square feet):

Between Fourth and Sixth streets east and at the intersection of South Caro-
lina avenue and E street southeast. The work of improving this park is
at present in progress, the ground surfaces are being filled to establish
grades; on completion of this work, roads through and walks, &c., will
be laid out in accordance with the plan prepared for the improvement of
this reservation.

No. 19. Rectangle (area, 1 acre 42,648 square feet):

Between Tenth and Twelfth streets north and the intersection of Ohio and
Louisiana avenues. Plans have been prepared for the improvement of
this park, but no appropriation has yet been made to commence the work.

No. 20. Triangle (area, 3,502 square feet):

At the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and M street northwest and
between Montgomery and Green streets.

Between Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and L street north. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, and lawn surfaces graded but not planted.

No. 23. Trapezoid (area, 3,159 square feet):

Between Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and K street north. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, and lawn surface graded but not planted. No. 24. Washington Circle (area, 1 acre 36,865 square feet):

Between Twenty-second and Twenty-fourth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and New Hampshire avenue. Inclosed with heavy cast-iron railing, gravel walks laid out through the park at right angles, in poor condition, lawns planted thickly with deciduous trees. The bronze equestrian statue of General Washington, by Clark Mills, is located in the center of this park, and forms its chief attraction. No. 25. Trapezoid (area, 3,159 square feet):

Between Twenty-second and Twenty-third streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and north K street. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, lawn surfaces graded but not planted.

No. 26. Trapezoid (area, 11,893 square feet):

Between Twentieth and Twenty-first streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and I street north. Inclosed with heavy castiron railing, lawn surfaces thickly planted with deciduous trees. No. 27. Trapezoid (area, 18,156 square feet):

Between Twentieth and Twenty-first streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and north I street. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, improved and plauted, gas-lamps around the park, drinking fountain at the eastern end, and rose-jet fountain in center of park. Asphaltum walks on diagonal lines through the park.

No. 28. Triangle (area, 14,749 square feet):

Between Eighteenth and Nineteenth streets west an' at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and H street north. Inclosed with park postand-chain fence, improved and planted with deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs, gas-lamps around and gravel walks through the park. A large Warwick iron vase, planted in summer with suitable decorative plants is placed at the intersection of walks at the entrance of this park. No. 29. Triangle (area, 18,511 square feet):

Between Eighteenth and Nineteenth streets west and Pennsylvania avenue and north H street Inclosed and planted, drinking-fountains at western end of this park, rustic fountain with rose jet in the center of this park, improved otherwise in a similar manner to the opposite reservation previously described.

No. 30. Trapezoid (area, 18,482 square feet):

Between Thirteen-and-a-half and Fourteenth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and E street north. Inclosed with heavy iron railing, planted with deciduous trees, otherwise unimproved. No. 31. Triangle (area, 20,390 square feet): Between Thirteenth and Thirteen-and-a-half streets west and Pennsylvania avenue and north E street. Inclosed with heavy cast-iron railing, lawn planted with deciduous trees of large growth; otherwise unimproved. No. 32. Trapezoid (area, 7,678 square feet):

Between Ninth and Tenth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and Ninth street. Inclosed with post-and-pipe-rail fence, lawn planted with deciduous trees and shrubs, ornamental cast-iron fountain and basin in the center, and Portland cement stone pavement around and through the park, and gas-lamps around the park.

No. 33. Triangle (area, 5,529 square feet):

Between Eighth and Ninth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and Louisiana avenue. Inclosed with park post-andpipe-rail fence, lawn planted with deciduous trees of large growth, and otherwise unimproved.

No. 34. Trapezoid (area, 15,525 square feet):

Between Seventh and Eighth streets west and at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Louisiana avenues. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, lawn planted with deciduous trees of large growth and otherwise unimproved.

No. 35. Triangle (area, 8,544 square feet):

Between First and Second streets, east of the Capitol, and at the intersection of Pennsylvania avenue and south A street. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence, lawn surfaces graded, with flower beds in the center; planted.

No. 56. Triangle (area, 2,435 square feet):

Between Twenty-first and Twenty-second streets west and at the interseetion of Massachusetts avenue and Q street north. Is vacant and unimproved.

No. 57. Triangle (area, 4,278 square feet):

Between Twenty-first and Twenty-second streets west and at the interseetion of Massachusetts avenue and Q street north. Is vacant and unimproved.

No. 58. Triangle (area, 8,673 square feet):

Between Nineteenth and Twentieth streets west and at the intersection of Massachusetts avenue and P street north. Inclosed with park post-andchain fence, surrounded by stone flag pavement, an ornamental fountain in the center, aud in part planted.

No. 59. Du Pont Circle (area, 2 acres 14,667 square feet):

Between Eighteenth and Twentieth streets west and at the intersection of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire avenues. The pedestal for the statue of Rear-Admiral Du Pont has been constructed in the center of this park. These grounds have been recently improved and planted with a choice collection of dwarf ornamental flowering trees and shrubs; a number of evergreen and deciduous trees of large growth have also been planted in desirable positions for the same. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence; gas-lamps around and through the circle; two drinking fountains at intersections of walks; lawn surfaces interspersed with flower beds, and asphaltum walk surfaces in direct lines of travel through the circle.

No. 60. Trapezoid (area, 14,123 square feet):

Between Sixteenth and Seventeenth streets west and at the intersection of Rhode Island and Massachusetts avenues. Inclosed with park post-andchain fence, lawn surfaces planted mainly with specimen dwarf trees and assorted varieties of flowering shrubs; flower bed laid out in the center of the lawn; gas-lamps around the park, which is also surrounded by stone flag pavement.

No. 61. Scott Circle (area, 11,310 square feet):

At the intersection of Massachusetts and Rhode Island avenues north and Sixteenth street west. This circle is the site of the bronze equestrian statue of General Winfield Scott, by Henry K. Brown. Improved and planted; flower beds laid out in the lawn surface at the base of the statue; gas lamps and stone flag pavement surround this circle.

No. 62. Trapezoid (area, 14,123 square feet):

Between Fifteenth and Sixteenth streets west and at the intersection of Massachusetts and Rhode Island avenues north. Inclosed with park postand-chain fence; lawn surfaces planted mainly with dwarf ornamental evergreen and deciduous trees and flowering shrubs; flower bed laid out in the center of the park; gas-lamps around the park, which is also surrounded by a substantial stone pavement.

No. 63. Trapezoid (area, 3,354 square feet):

Between Fourteenth and Fifteenth streets west at the intersection of Massachusetts avenue and M street north. Inclosed with a light iron railing; improved and planted in part only.

No. 64. Thomas Circle (area, 27,347 square feet):

At the intersection of Massachusetts and Vermont avenues and Fourteenth street west. This circle is the site of the bronze equestrian statue of General George H. Thomas, by J. Q. A. Ward. The grounds are improved flower beds laid out in the lawn surface at the base of the statue; gas-; lamps around the circle and at the base of the pedestal; this circle is surrounded by a substantial stone flag pavement.

No. 65. Trapezoid (area, 3,005 square feet):

Between Thirteenth and Fourteenth streets at the intersection of Massachusetts avenue and M street north. Is inclosed.

No. 66. Trapezoid (area, 16,073 square feet):

Between Eleventh and Twelfth streets west and at the intersection of Massachusetts avenue and L street north. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence. Improved and planted with evergreen and deciduous trees and shrubs, mainly of dwarf growth; asphaltum walks in direct lines of travel through the park; flower beds laid out at intersections of walks; gaslamps around the park and drinking fountain located at the eastern end. No. 67. Trapezoid (area. 18,412 square feet): Between Tenth and Eleventh streets west and at the intersection of Massachusetts avenue and L street north. Inclosed and improved in a similar manner to the opposite reservation before described.

No. 68. Trapezoid (area. 7,081 square feet):

Between Ninth and Tenth streets west at the intersection of Massachusetts and New York avenues and K street north. Inclosed, and planted with flowering shrubs mainly and not otherwise improved.

No. 59. Trapezoid (area, 6,042 square feet):

At the intersection of Massachusetts avenue, Seventh street west, and K street north. Inclosed with park post-and-chain fence; improved and planted mainly with dwarf flowering trees and shrubs; flower bed in the center of the lawn surface; gas-lamps and stone flag pavement around this reservation.
