The provision in the river and harbor Act of June third, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, authorizing the expenditure of ten thousand dollars upon Yellow Mill Pond, so called, in Bridgeport Harbor, conditioned upon the construction by the city of Bridgeport of a drawbridge upon plans approved by the Secretary of War, is hereby so amended as to permit the immediate expenditure of said sum in the discretion of the Secretary of War, the plans for said bridge having been approved by him and the sum of twenty thousand dollars appropriated therefor by the city of Bridgeport.
