The termination of another volume (the 19th) of the NEW MONTHLY BELLE ASSEMBLEE, is an appeal to the PROPRIETORS which they cannot overlook. It calls for the earnest, but brief expression of their thanks for the patronage which has uniformly attended their efforts to please an appreciating host of Subscribers. They have spared no expense in their endeavours to improve the nature of the literary and pictorial contents of the Magazine; nor need they dwell upon the superiority of the engravings which have of late adorned its pages. The New Year, now opening under (we hope) happy auspices to all our kind friends and Contributors, shall not pass away without giving further evidence of the PROPRIETORS' determinations to elevate the literary character of the NEW MONTHLY BELLE ASSEMBLEE. |
