3 Praise the Lord! for He is glorious;
Never shall his promise fail:
He hath made his saints victorious,
Sin and death shall not prevail.
4 Praise the God of our salvation!
Hosts on high, his power proclaim:
Heaven and earth, and all creation,
Laud and magnify his name.

PSALM 149.

A song of thanksgiving for the spiritual triumphs of Messiah, and his Church.---Compare I Cor. vi. 2, 3; Eph. vi. 17; Rev. ii. 12, 16.

1 O PRAISE ye the Lord: prepare a new song; His praises, ye saints, in full concert sing: To God, your Creator, the anthem prolong, And let Zion's children be glad in their King. 2 Be joyful, ye saints, sustain'd by his might; And let your glad songs awake with the morn. For all that obey him are still his delight; His hand with salvation the meek will adorn. 3 In glory rejoice;--the Lord draweth near!

O let your glad mouth with praises be fill'd. He comes in His glory;-his judgments appear: The sword of the Spirit your right-hand shall wield.

4 Triumphant, ye saints, his Kingdom proclaim: With Him ye appear, His triumphs attend.How just is His judgment! how faithful His

name!

Let praise to Jehovah for ever ascend.

And Spirit, Glory be;

As was, and is, and shall be so,
To all eternity.

S. M. (Double.)

2 Let ev'ry voice resound

The loud eternal song;

Ye ransom'd saints, the world around,

Ye high celestial throng!

Jehovah we adore,

The Father and the Son,

The Spirit of all grace and power,
The glorious Three in One.

3 To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The God, whom we adore,
Be Glory, as it was, is now,
And shall be evermore.
C. M. (Double.)

4 To God, our Benefactor, bring
The tribute of your praise;
Too small for an Almighty King,
But all that we can raise.
Glory to Thee, blest Three in One,
The God whom we adore,
As was, and is, and shall be done,
When time shall be no more.

L. M.

5 To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

The God, whom earth and heaven adore, Be Glory, as it was of old,

Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

L. M. (Double.)

7 To Father, Son, and Spirit blest,
Be praise in loudest notes addrest!
Such as the stars of morning sung
When earth was on its balance hung;-
Such praise as from th' angelic choirs,
And saints, whom zeal like theirs' inspires,-
In heaven above, and earth below,
Still flows, and shall for ever flow.
8 Glory to God the Father's name;
To Jesus, who for sinners died;
Exalt the Holy Spirit's fame,

9

By whom our souls are sanctified.
God's praise was sung, ere time began,
By angels, thro' the starry spheres;
And shall, as now, be sung by man,
Redeem'd and blest, thro' endless years.
SEVENS.

To th' Eternal Three be given
Praise on earth, and praise in heaven;
Such as was through ages past,

Is, and shall for ever last.

SEVENS. (Six lines.)

Father, Spirit,-and the Word!
Hail! Thou glorious Three in One;
Worthy Thou to reign alone!
Him, ye Saints and angels, praise:
Praise Him through eternal days.
SEVENS. (Double.)
11 Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD!
Ever be thy name ador'd!
Thee to laud in songs divine,

We with them our voices raise,
Echoing thine eternal praise;
And in humbler worship cry,
Glory be to God Most High!
