SECTION 42. SECTION 67. That the qualified voters of Franconia township, in the county of Montgomery, shali hereafter hold their general and township elections at the store house of Daniel L. Moyer, in said township. SECTION 68. That hereafter the borough of Germantown, PhiladelPhiladelphia co. phia county, shall be a separate and distinct election district, for all Borough of Ger- election purposes whatsoever; and that the legally qualified voters of said borough shall elect, at the election to be held on the nineteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven, and annually thereafter, one assessor and two assistant assessors, whenever required by existing laws, one ward or township constable, one town clerk, four managers of the poor, four auditors and two school directors; and at the expiration of every third year thereafter, two school directors shell be elected; and the polls in said election district shall be kept open until ten o'clock, P. M.; and that the seventy-seventh section of the act, entitled "An Act regulating election districts," approved seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and forty-six, and all acts and supplements conflicting with the provisions of this section, be and the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 69. That the qualified voters of the township of Upper Mahantongo, in the county of Schuylkill, shall hereafter hold their gen eral and township elections at the house of John W. Hepler, in said township.

SECTION 70. That the qualified voters of Upper Mahanoy township Northumberland. in the county of Northumberland, shall hereafter hold their general and township elections at the house of Peter Beisel, in said township.

SECTION 71. That the qualified voters of Monaghan township, in the county of York, shall hold their township and general elections at the house of George Pollinger.

SECTION 72. That the general elections in Lower Delaware ward, in Philadelphia city, the city of Philadelphia, shall be held at one window in front of the state house, in said city; and that part of any act heretofore passed, dividing said ward into precincts, for general election purposes, be and the same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT

For the relief of certain soldiers and widows of soldiers of the Revolutionary and Indian wars.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa tives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the state treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to John Brewer, James Collins and Jacob Whollery, of Fayette county; Adam Brookhouser, of Crawford county; Ephraim Fry and Charlotte Miller, of Franklin county, Pennsylvania, and Jacob Laumon, of Montgomery county, Maryland, soldiers of the Revolutionary and Indian wars, or to their respective orders, an annuity of forty dollars per annum each, during life, payable half yearly, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven; and to Michael Dill, of Allegheny county, and Nathaniel Price, of Bucks county, each a gratuity of forty dollars.

SECTION 2. That so much of the second section of an act, entitled "An Act for the relief of certain soldiers and widows of soldiers of the Revolutionary and Indian wars," approved the twenty-first of April, one thousand eight hundred and forty-six, as relates to Samuel Dean, James M'Donald and Henry Semans, shall be understood as applying to persons of those names in Fayette county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa tives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That

AN ACT

To provide for ordinary expenses of government, the repair of the canals and railroads belonging to the state, and the payment of other claims upon the commonwealth.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the following sums be and they are hereby specifically appropriated to Appropriation, the several objects hereinafter expressed, for the year commencing on objects of. the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven, and ending on the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fortyeight, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated :

I. For the salary of the governor, three thousand dollars; for the
