17. # PSALM XXII. C. M. 1 T ORD, in thy sacred courts will I My chcerful thanks express; Shall find my table spread; With joys immortal fed. To God their homage pay; One sov’reign Lord obey. Devoted to his name, And glorious acts proclaim. 1 Vouchsafes to be my guide; My wants are all supplied. ... And gently there repose; " Refreshing water flows. 3 He does my wand'ring soul reclaim, And, to his endless praise, In his most righteous ways. From fear and danger free; Defend and comfort me. 8 Since God does thus his wond'rous love Through all my life extend, And in his temple spend. 19. PSALM XXV. S. M. 1 THY mercies and thy love, 1 O Lord, recall to mind; And graciously continue still, As thou wert ever, kind. 2 Let al} my youthful crimes Be blotted out by thee; In mercy. think on me. 3 His mercy and his truth The righteous Lord displays, And teaching them his ways. 4 Through all the ways of God To his blest will incline. 20. M. . 1 SINCE mercy is the grace That most exalts thy fame, And so advance thy name. 2 Whoe'er with humble fear To God his duty pays, In all his righteous ways. 3 His quiet soul with peace Shall be for ever blest, Successively possest. His secret will imparts, In their obedient hearts. 21. PSALM XXVII. C. M. i W HOM should I fear, since God to me | Is saving health and light? Since strongly he my life supports, What can.my soul affright? 2 Through him my heart, undaunted, dares With mighty hosts to cope; Through him, in doubtful straits of war, For good success I hope. I earnestly desire, And of his will enquire. In times of deep distress; In that secure recess. 22. PSALM XXVII. C. M. I CONTINUE, Lord, to hear my voice, U Whene'er to thee I cry; Nor my requests deny. Thou kindly dost advise; My grateful heart replies. Nor me in wrath reject;'. M. i T o God's great name fresh altars raise, 1 Devoutly due respect afford; Him in his holy temple praise, Where he's with solemn state ador'd. 2 'Tis he that with amazing noise The wat'ry clouds in sunder breaks ; When he from heaven in thunder speaks. 3 When God in thunder loudly speaks, And scattered flames of lightning sends, The forest nods, the desert quakes, And stubborn Kadesh lowly bends. 4 God rules the angry floods on high; His boundless sway shall never cease; His saints with strength he will supply, And bless his own with constant peace. 24.
