This article, "Long Live the Victory of People's War!" was written by Lin Piao, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Vice Premier of Red China, and Minister of National Defense.

Ostensibly, it is an article commemorating the 20th anniversary of the defeat of Japan in World War II. Actually, it sets forth Red China's long range strategy for achieving world Communist domination.

Experts on Red China consider this article a highly significant statement of policy. It has been compared with Hitler's Mein Kampf.

Abhorrent as Lin Piao's ideas may be, we ignore them at our peril. Members of the U.S. Armed Forces especially need to know what our potential foes are planning and how they regard us. Accordingly, copies are being placed in Armed Forces libraries and in the offices of information officers.
