COME, Holy Ghost, eternal God, Both from the Father and the Son, Visit our minds, into our hearts Thou art the very Comforter In grief and all distress; The heavenly gift of God most high, Thou in thy gifts art manifold; By them Christ's church doth stand: In faithful hearts Thou writ'st thy law, The finger of God's hand. O Holy Ghost, into our mind Send down thy heavenly light; Kindle our hearts with fervent zeal To serve God day and night. PSALM XX. GOD in time of trouble hear thee, : All thy gifts remember still, We will joy in thy salvation, Some in chariots, some in horses,— Ever for thy servants fight! Eleventh Sunday after Trinity. PSALM XCIII. GOD the Lord a King remaineth, God hath rob'd Him, and He reigneth, God is King in depth and height. In her everlasting station Earth is pois'd, to swerve no more; Thou hast laid thy throne's foundation From all time where thought can soar : Hallelujah! Lord, Thou art for evermore. Lord, the words thy lips are telling Holiness shall inmate be. Pure is all that lives with Thee. HYMN LIX. PRAISE to God, immortal praise, For the blessings of the field, Clouds that drop refreshing dews, All that spring with bounteous hand These, great God, to Thee we owe : Source whence all our blessings flow : And for these our souls shall raise Grateful vows, and solemn praise.
