HIS Royal Highness the Prince Regent, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, SovereignTM of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, has been pleased, by letters patent under the sign manual of His Royal Highness and the great seal of the Order, to dispense, in virtue of the power for that purpose inherent in the Sovereign, with all the statutes and regulations usually observed in regard to installation, and to give and grant unto the Right Honourable Henry Earl Bathurst, one of His Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, Knight Elect of the Order, full power and authority to exercise all rights and privileges belonging to a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, as if his Lordship had been formally

installed, any decree, rule, or usage to the contrary notwithstanding.

IN pursuance of the directions of an Act, passed in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of His present Majesty King George the Third, intituled "An Act to repeal so much of two "Acts, made in the tenth and fifteenth years "of the reign of His present Majesty, as au"thorises the Speaker of the House of Commons "to issue his warrant to the Clerk of the Crown "for making out writs for the election of Mem"bers to serve in Parliament in the manner "therein mentioned; and for substituting other provisions for the like purposes:"

I do hereby give notice, that the death of Benjamin Hall, Esq. late a Member serving in this present Parliament for the county of Glamorgan, hath been certified to me in writing under the hands of two Members serving in this present Parliament; and that I shall issue my warrant to the Clerk of the Crown to make out a new writ for the electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the said county, at the end of fourteen days after the insertion of this notice in the London Gazette.

His Royal Highness the Prince Regent has been pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to approve of the 57th Regiment being permitted to bear on its colours and appointments, in addition to any other badges or devices which may heretofore have been granted to the Regiment, the words

in commemoration of the services of the Regiment at Vittoria, on 21st June 1813; in the Pyrennees, in the month of June 1813; at Nivelle, in November 1813; and in the action of the Nive, on the 9th, 10th, and 11th December 1813.

Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, that, on the night of Sunday last, the 3d instant, three horses were stabbed, in a field in the occupation of Mr. Lawrence Wilmore, in the parish of Enderby, near Leicester;

His Royal Highness, for the better apprehending Gg. 2.

and bringing to justice the person or persons con-cerned in such atrocious act, is hereby pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to promise His Majesty's most gracious pardon to any one of them (except the person who actually stabbed the said horses), who shall discover his, her, or their accomplice or accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they may be apprehended and convicted thereof. SIDMOUTH.

And, as a further encouragement, a reward of FORTY POUNDS is hereby offered, by the said Mr. Lawrence Wilmore, to any person or persons (except as is before excepted) who shall discover his, her, or their accomplice or accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they may be apprehended and convicted thereof, or to any person or persons who shall apprehend and bring the offenders, or any of them, to conviction, or cause them, or any of them, to be apprehended and convicted as aforesaid.
