Note, that if a child's Sponsor at Baptism die before ; it be confirmed, or be fick at the time of Confira mation, or through any other urgent cause cannot be present at the Confirmation; then some other proper person shall hold the child, and be a witnefs of it's Confirmation. Notes, Note, that they who through neceffity have received private Baptism, and have been anointed with the boly Chrism by a Priest, Mall be confirmed by themselves; in which case the Bishop all use the foregoing office, except that he mall omit the anointing and the sign of the cross, and mall only lay his hands upon every one to be confirmed, and say, D Efend, O Lord, this thy child [or this thy seryant) with thy heavenly grace, that he may continue thine for ever, and daily increase in thy Holy Spirit more and more, until he come unte thine everlasting kingdom. The The FORM of Consecrating the CHRISM for Confirmation. When the Chrism for Confirmation is to be confe crated, the Deacon immediately after the Nicene Creed in the Eucharistick Service, mall bring a proper quantity of Chrism or Ointment (made of sweet Oil of olives and precious Balsam commonly called Balm of Gilead) in a decent" vessel to the Bishop, who pall place it upon the Altar; and then turning to the People, he shall say, The Lord be with you. Answ. And with thy spirit. Then shall the Deacon say to the People, Let us pray. Then the People fall kneel down; and the Bishop turning to the Altar, and standing before it, Mall say the following prayer. Amen. Then the People fall rise, and the Deacon ball carry the consecrated Chrism into the Veftry, or to fame other convenient place. THE THE MINISTRATION OF e Private Baptism of Infants In Houses. If a child is in danger of death, so that necessity re quires it to be baptized at home, then Baptism shall be administred on this fashion. Let the Priest of the Parish (or in his absence any other lawful Priest that can be procured) begin with the Exhortation and the two Prayers following it in the Office of Publick Baftijm of Infants before prescribed.
