TACEY. d.. 101. f. 322 PREFACE. "Teach the Bible from the Bible itself."-Congress of Church School Managers, Leeds, 1877. THIS book gives the authorised version of the First Book of Samuel arranged in Lessons, with Analyses, Notes, and Summaries. No other book need be used with it, for it at once takes the place of the Bible, without superseding it, and also the handbooks now in such common use by students. It is so arranged that there is a lesson to learn and a lesson to read upon nearly every subject, and the summaries at the heads of the lessons may with advantage be revised alone, just before examination. Important texts to be committed to memory are printed in larger type. M. T. Y. OLD TESTAMENT HISTORY. THE FIRST BOOK OF SAMUEL. THE BOOK.
