S. now useth, after the best manner that he can or may, shall teach, instruct, and inform, or cause to be taught, instructed, and informed, as much as thereunto belongeth, of in any wise appertaineth; and shall also, during the said term, find and allow unto the said A. Form of the Order of two Justices, directing a Parish Apprentice to continue with the Widow [or as the case may be] of his deceased Master.

Whereas F. R. within named, late of the parish of in the said county, died on the day of -, being within three calendar months now last past, We, two of His Majesty's justices of the peace for the county aforesaid, whose names are hereunto subscribed, on the application and at the request of A. R. widow [as the case may be] of the said F. R. living with and being part of the family of the said F. R. at the time of his death, do hereby order and direct, that A. P. the apprentice within named, who was in the service and actual employment of the said F. R. at the time of his death, shall serve the said A. R. as such apprentice, for the residue of the term of such apprenticeship within mentioned, according to the provisions of an áct passed in the thirty-second year of the reign of King George the Third, intituled, "An Act for the further Regulation of Parish Apprentices." Witness our hands, this day of

I, the above-mentioned A. R. do hereby declare that the above order is made at my request, and that I do accept the said A. P. as my apprentice, according to the terms and covenants contained in the said indenture, and according to the provisions of the said act. Witness my hand, the day and year above written.

Form of the like Order, by a separate Instrument.

Whereas it appears unto us, two of His Majesty's justices of the peace for the said county, that A. P. was bound an apprentice by the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the parish of —, to F. R. late of the said parish of and that the said F. R. died on the day of, being within three calendar months now last past. Now we the said two justices, on the application, and at the request &c. [then to the end as before, mutatis mutandis.]

Form of the Assignment of a Parish Apprentice, with the consent of two Justices, by Indorsement on the Indenture or Counterpart.

Be it remembered, That the within-named F. R. by and with the consent and approbation of S. P. and J. C. two of His Majesty's justices of the peace for the said county, whose names are subscribed to the consent here-under written, doth hereby assign A. P. the apprentice within named, unto N. R. to serve him during the residue of the term within mentioned; and that he the said N. R. doth hereby agree to accept and take the said A. P. as an apprentice for the residue of the said term, and doth hereby acknowledge himself, his executors and administrators, to be bound by the agreements and covenants within mentioned on the part of the said F. R. to be done and performed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof, and pursuant to the provisions of an act passed in the thirty-second year of the reign of King George the Third, intituled, "An Act for the further Regulation of Parish Apprentices." Discharge of a Parish Apprentice,

Under 32 Geo. III. c. 57.

And Order to return his Clothes, &c.

to wit. Whereas complaint on oath hath been made before us, J. C. and S. P. two of His Majesty's justices of the peace in and for the said county, by A. B. a parish apprentice to C. D. of in the said county, [carpenter], that he the said C. D. has misused and evil-entreated him the said apprentice, particularly [here state the nature of the offence]. And whereas the said C. D. having been duly summoned, hath appeared before us, but hath not cleared himself of the said accusation and complaint, but on the contrary the same hath been fully proved before us on oath. We therefore do by these presents discharge the said A. B. from his said apprenticeship,

any thing in the said indenture of apprenticeship contained to the contrary.

And we do hereby order that he the said C. D. shall upon due notice hereof deliver up forthwith to the said apprentice his clothes and wearing apparel, and also pay immediately to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the parish of in the said county, to which parish the said apprentice belongs, or some or one of them, the sum of £. to be applied by them, some or one of them, under our order, for the benefit of the said apprentice, as to us shall seem reasonable. Information and Complaint that the Money has not been paid.

to wit. The Information and Complaint of E. F. one of the overseers of the poor of the parish of in the said eounty, taken on oath before us, S. P. and W. S. two of His Majesty's justices of the peace in and for the said County, this day of 1817, who on his oath saith, that by an order under the hands and seals of us the said S. P. and W. S. two of His Majesty's justices of the peace, &c. which said order is now produced before us, A. B. the parish apprentice of C. D. of the said parish of -, was discharged from his said apprenticeship to the said C. D. for [state the cause]. And further, that in and by the said order the said C. D. was ordered, upon due notice to him of the said order, forthwith to deliver up to the said apprentice his clothes and wearing apparel, and also to pay immediately to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of, to which parish the said A. B. belongs, some or one of them, the sum of to be applied by them, some or one of them, under the order of us the said justices, for the benefit of the said apprentice: And that the said C. D. hath had due notice of the said order, but that he hath not complied therewith by paying the said sum of money, so directed to be paid by him the said C. D. nor any part thereof, but hath refused, and doth refuse so to do; whereupon the said A. B. prayeth that justice be done in the premises.

Warrant of Distress.
To the Constable of

to wit. Whereas by an order [Recite the order as in the Information]. These are therefore to command you that you do levy the said sum of by distress of the goods and chattels of him the said C. D. together with the reasonable expenses of such distress; and if within the space of four days next after such distress by you made, the said sum of together with the reasonable expenses of taking and keeping the said distress, shall not be paid, that then you do sell the said goods and chattels so by you distrained, and out of the money arising by the sale thereof, that you do pay the said sum of

unto the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of to be by them applied as aforesaid, returning the overplus on demand unto the said C. D. the reasonable charges of taking, keeping, and selling the said distress being first thereout deducted. Given under our hands and seals, this day of- 1817.

Complaint against a Master for not delivering up to a discharged Apprentice his Clothes.

-to wit. The Information and Complaint of A.B. the late parish apprentice of C. D. of in the said county, taken on oath before us, S. P. and W. S. two of His Majesty's justices, &c. this day of 1817, who on his oath saith, that by an order under the hands and seals of us the said justices, dated the day of last, which said order is now produced to us, he the said A. B. was discharged from his said appren ticeship to the said C. D. for [state the cause], and that by the said order the said C. D. was required to deliver up to him the said A. B. his clothes and wearing apparel, and that the said C. D. had due notice of the said order on the day of last, and that this informant did then demand his clothes and wearing apparel of the said C. D, which he the said C. D. then refused, and yet refuses to deliver up; whereupon the said A.B. prayeth that justice be done in the premises.
