An Act making Appropriations for the Connecticut State Firemen's Association and for the State Police Association of Connecticut for the Two Years

ending September 30, 1909.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

The following sums are hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the Connecticut State Firemen's Association, twenty-two thousand dollars: For the State Police Association of Connecticut, three thousand dollars.

full compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the Connecticut agricultural experiment station, for current expenses, twenty thousand dollars; for food investigation, five thousand dollars; for state entomologist, six thousand dollars.

The following sums are hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the Norwich hospital for the insane, for current expenses, twenty-seven thousand two hundred dollars; for support of paupers and indigent insane, sixty-two thousand four hundred dollars. The following sum is hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the object hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the New Haven County Anti-Tuberculosis Association, for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis, fifteen thousand dollars. The following sums are hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For the Greenwich Hospital, four thousand dollars; for the Greenwich General Hospital, four thousand dollars; for the St. Mary's Hospital of Waterbury, ten thousand dollars.

The following sums are hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full

compensation for the objects hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For factory inspector, for salary of inspector, five thousand dollars; for salaries of deputies, eighteen thousand dollars; for office and traveling expenses, twenty-five hundred dollars: For the labor bureau, for salary of commissioner, five thousand dollars; for salary of chief clerk, thirty-six hundred dollars; for salary of a stenographer, fifteen hundred dollars; for office and traveling expenses, two thousand dollars; for special agents, four thousand dollars; for free employment bureaus, eighteen thousand dollars.

An Act making an Appropriation for The Connecticut Teachers' Annuity Guild for the Two Years ending September 30, 1909.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

The sum of ten thousand dollars is hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation for the object hereinafter specified for the two fiscal years ending September 30, 1909: For The Connecticut Teachers' Annuity Guild, to be added to the permanent fund of said organization and to be held, managed, and expended in accordance with the constitution and by-laws of said The Connecticut Teachers' Annuity Guild relating to said permanent fund.

An Act making an Appropriation for the Hospital of
St. Raphael.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:

The following sum is hereby appropriated to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full

compensation for the object hereinafter specified for the two years ending September 30, 1909: For the Hospital of St. Raphael, twenty-five hundred dollars; provided, however, that no part of said appropriation shall be paid to said hospital until it has organized a competent staff of physicians and surgeons and has been in actual operation for at least three months; and if said hospital is not in actual operation prior to September 30, 1907, there shall be paid of the appropriation to said hospital only three hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents for each three months that such hospital is in actual operation prior to September 30, 1909.
