HIS day the Right Honourable William Pitt by of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, sworn of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, and took his place at the Board accordingly.

IN pursuance of the directions of an A passed in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of His present Majesty King George the Third, intituled "An Act to repeal so much of two "Acts, made in the tenth and fifteenth years 1816.

"of the reign of His present Majesty, as au"thorises the Speaker of the House of Commons "to issue his warrant to the Clerk of the Crown "for making out writs for the election of Mem"bers to serve in Parliament in the manner "therein mentioned; and for substituting other "provisions for the like purposes :" I do hereby give notice, that the death of William Hoare Hume, Esq. late Member serving in this present Parliament for the county of Wicklow, hath been certified to me in writing under the hands of two Members serving in this present Parliament; and that I shall issue my warrant to the Clerk of the Crown in Ireland to make out a new writ for electing of a Knight to serve in this present Parliament for the said county of Wicklow, at the end of fourteen days after the insertion of this notice in the London Gazette.

His Royal Highness the Prince Regent hath been pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to nominate and appoint Rear-Admiral Charles Vinicombe Penrose, to be a Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, in the room of Vice-Admiral Lord Viscount Gardner, deceased.

Dublin-Castle, December 22, 1815.

This day His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, was pleased, in pursuance of the commands of His Royal Highness the Prince

Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to confer the honour of Knighthood upon the following Officers, Knights Commanders of the said Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, viz.

Colonel the Honourable Sir Robert Le Poer Trench.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Joseph Carncross.

ELECTION OF THREE TEMPORAL PEERS
OF IRELAND.

Crown and Hanapar-Office, Dublin,
January 9, 1816.

IN pursuance of an Act, passed in the fortieth year of His present Majesty's reign, intituled "An Act to regulate the mode by which the Lords "Spiritual and Temporal, and the Commons, to

serve in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, "on the part of Ireland, shall be summoned and "returned to the said Parliament," I do hereby give notice, that writs, bearing teste this day, have issued for electing three Temporal Peers of Ireland, to succeed to the vacancies by the demises of George Baron Callan, John Earl of Glandore, and Robert Earl of Wicklow, in the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, and to sit and vote, on the part of Ireland, in the said House of Lords of the United Kingdom; which said writs are severally directed to the following Peers, being B 2
